Why We Collect Your Data and Our Legal Basis
Under UK GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. Here is what we use and why:
Contact form enquiries: We process this data based on your consent (you chose to contact us) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.
Customer records: We process this data to fulfil our contract with you (carrying out the repair work you have asked us to do) and for our legitimate business interests (keeping records of work completed, providing guarantees, and handling any follow-up queries).
Before and after photographs: We take these for our legitimate business interests, including documenting the quality of our work, providing evidence of repairs for guarantee purposes, and showcasing our work on our website and social media.
Google Analytics data: We process this data based on your consent (given through our cookie notice) and our legitimate interest in understanding how visitors use our website so we can improve it.
How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to respond to your enquiries and provide quotes, carry out repair work you have requested, keep records of work completed for guarantee purposes, improve our website and services, and contact you about your repair if needed (for example, to arrange access or follow up on completed work).
We will never sell your personal data to anyone. We do not use your data for marketing unless you specifically ask us to keep you updated.
Who We Share Your Data With
We may share your data with Google (through Google Analytics) to help us understand website traffic. Google Analytics data is anonymised. Photographs: We keep before and after photos for up to 6 years. If we use photos on our website or social media, we will remove them at your request.
Google Analytics data: This is retained for 14 months in line with Google Analytics default settings.
